I am looking for suggestions for a short getaway.

for 2...
Mid to late August. a long weekend maybe 5 days.
Price.. pretty much not an issue.

Any Ideas.
I would not want to use up to much of the
limited getaway time as travel keep that in mind.
passports are in hand.
Let me know what you think...

You know if price is not an issue I would go to Hawaii.
The flight is not too long and you go back in time. So if you fly out at 7:00 in the morning you will get there at 7:00 in the morning - ha ha! (or close to that)
I is always a perfectly, tropical 82 degrees - not too hot, not too cold.
You can sit and not do anything and just enjoy the scenery and be blissfully happy!
Yep, I would go to Hawaii!

P.S. I just remembered you are thinking August (which is still good for Hawaii) but another option is Canada - again not a super long flight and the Calgary Banff area is AMAZING and they have beautiful hotels too :D

Hmmmm, anywhere where it's quiet and peaceful. Be that a hotel somewhere, a lakeside cottage, or a mountain cabin. Of course, having someone make the bed and change the towels would be a plus. Not having to cook and clean up would get a big vote, too. I'd take lots of books, but no computer. Just me and my sweetheart and a king sized bed. Oh, is that TMI?

Hawaii is never a bad choice. I went to San Diego in August last year and LOVED every minute of it. I want to go back so bad. I didn't even get to do all that I wanted to do. So many great restaurants. Great places to see. WONDERFUL people. Have fun wherever you choose!

I did NYC in 24 hours! That's leaving SLC at 11:00 p.m. and arriving in SLC 11:50 p.m. the next night. 5 days sounds like a dream!
How about Puerto Rico? My daughter served her mission there and went back for a visit. She wants to go again!
Hope you can come up with something soon and share it with us! (Not the trip but your decision)
