When grumpy goes out of town.. we just don't eat well.

I probably should have made turkey soup! ..
I guess tomorrow I will make homemade noodles
The recipe calls for store bought..
I am loving this taste of home site.

White Chocolate Macadamia Cookies Recipe
Vanilla chips and macadamia nuts are a delightful duo in these rich, buttery morsels. They are a nice change from chocolate chip cookies.
This recipe is: Quick27 Servings
- Prep: 10 min. Bake: 10 min./batch
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 jar (3-1/2 ounces) macadamia nuts, chopped
- 1 cup vanilla or white chips
Directions
- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine flour and baking soda; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in nuts and vanilla chips.
- Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 1 minute before removing to wire racks to cool completely. Yield: about 4-1/2 dozen.

Turkey Noodle Soup
6 Servings
Prep: 20 min. Cook: 1-1/4 hours
Ingredients
- 9 cups homemade turkey or chicken broth
- 4 medium carrots, shredded
- 3 celery ribs, sliced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon rubbed sage
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 3 whole cloves
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 cups diced cooked turkey
- 1 cup uncooked noodles
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Directions
- In a large kettle or Dutch oven, combine the first six ingredients. Tie cloves and bay leaf in a cheesecloth bag and add to kettle; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour. Add turkey, macaroni and parsley; cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the macaroni is tender and the soup is heated through. Discard spice bag. Yield: 6 servings (3 quarts).

I really should make the soup because I'm never going to use up that turkey if I don't!
Minus the nuts the cookies look yummy. I like nuts but not in baked goods for some reason.

They both sound so good. Too bad I cant have the cookies that is the one Hannah is super allergic too! But the soup sounds delicious!!

I can make the turkey soup recipe as our family sent us home with lots of leftover turkey BUT the white chocolate macadamia nut cookie...(picture Homer Simpson, head back, drooling & saying "hmmm...cookies" here)!
Those are one of my absolute favorite cookies! Only all of my baking accessories are already packed! Hmmm...I would kill for one of those homemade cookies right now!

MMMmmm...I will definitely be trying those cookies out!!! White Chocolate Macadamia cookies are my husbands FAVORITE!!!!
