i was mopping the kitchen floor...glanced out the window. the neighbors have been moving for a couple of weeks little by little.
well they must be almost done. because they are now in the process of digging up all the plants..
DIGGING UP ALL THE PLANTS??
i have never seen anyone move, and dig up the plants..
weird things happen all the time.. and now i just have 1 more to add to my list.
we had a neighbor move in the middle of the night a few months ago.
their home was being foreclosed on. but moving in the middle of the night??
now i think this one takes the cake.
taking their landscaping. i wonder if they left their cabinets inside?

Serious!? Who does that sort of thing? (your neighbor..or soon to be ex neighbor)

Wow..can't you get in trouble for that...unless it's listed on the contract that you aren't leaving the plants? That is amazing!

What the?! Who does that kind of thing?! Duh--I guess your neighbors.

Leaving in the middle of the night when you are being foreclosed on is pretty common. We had some neighbors who would actually come back in the middle of the night to finish up for quite some time after they officially moved away. I confess that I have dug up plants when I have moved but never when I had sold a house--only when I was renting and I had planted them there myself. Plants are expensive and I love them! Er, like my children. (Don't look at me like I'm weird, okay?)

I once saw a movie about a family who bought a house and the sellers kept saying, "We're taking it with us!" in a joking way. When the buyers moved in everything was missing--everything: carpet, swimming pool, stairs.

We had neighbors that moved in during the night and then out during then night four months later. And during those four months, moving vans would show up at night as well, and be gone when the sun came up. We had no idea what was going on but we had a lot of fun trying to guess and making up stories about them. :-)

We had to practically kick out the people we bought this house from. They didnt want to leave and it was three months of a process. It stunk. I have never pulled up plants before. Maybe the buyers wanted them pulled up? Weird.

The slunk off in the night with their plants? Wow...

I guess they really like their plants. Maybe their new home is not landscaped, and they can't afford to put in any plants? ( I know, a stretch:)

Germans take the kitchen cabinets. The house is COMPLETELY empty when they move. I think they take the toilet seats too. We helped some German friends of ours move when we lived there and they had to buy all new kitchen cabinets and a new toilet seat. Thomas spent a long time putting cabinets together that day!
