For the past 6 months or so, I've had horrible hot flashes--wake up sweating like I've been working in the yard and so hot I think I'm going to burst into flames. So far not much I've done has helped. Luckily, I have my annual check up tomorrow and will discuss it w/ my dr.

Before all this started, my way of falling asleep was to start in one room of my house and (in my mind) redecorate it. I'd move from room to room and usually fell asleep before the 3rd room!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10641059685087617173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4887107401719970828.post-89830075579045824662010-07-13T10:57:22.734-07:002010-07-13T10:57:22.734-07:00I'm like Cherie, that is how I sleep. That is definately no fun.
I think most everyone gets to a certain age and has sleep problems - pain or not - just the way life goes.
I will have days where I sleep really well for 2 or 3 nights and then other whole weeks where I go to sleep at midnight and wake up at 3:30 in the morning. It really stinks.
I haven't found a cure. Sometimes I take a "Simply Sleep" over the counter pill but sometimes it does not work.
I've decided in my life it is just something I have to deal with.CBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16911579093553356167noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4887107401719970828.post-13181746923071678782010-07-12T12:38:26.742-07:002010-07-12T12:38:26.742-07:00I have my scriptures on my IPod and

I'm on Ambien or @ least the generic version of it. I am a single mom, work full time, I am studying to be an RN, and I am working on writing my first book. I should be tired enough to sleep 8 hours in a row while the sun is down, but I can't and it bugs me to no end. I would settle for 5 hours even. I haven't found anything that works for me and I'm not brave enough to pay a $25 copay and talk to my doctor about medication. I tried NyQuil once and I did sleep, but I had really bad dreams. Unfortunately, I have no advice, but I will be looking at the comments you get to see if I can use any of it. :) Best wishes to you on this one...you're certainly not alone. ;)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4887107401719970828.post-50171969317764440362010-07-11T16:38:47.355-07:002010-07-11T16:38:47.355-07:00I take one Soma about an hour before bed and 1 Res...I take one Soma about an hour before bed and 1 Resteril......for a chronic shoulder problem....occ
I swap the soma for zanafex..though it leaves me a little slower in the morning...Most nights that works, but thats after spending years of finding a combination....Meletonin has been a part of my ritual at times...It just makes me dream such weird dreams...Teresa @ Grammy Girlfriendhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05151128140345216126noreply@blogger.com
