Have you ever noticed that Facebook can cause so much DRAMA between friends and loved ones?
DRAMABOOK
I’m Facebook a fan, I love the connections I have made through Facebook. Not to mention the people from my past I have reconnected with. I have noticed Facebook is the root of a lot of problems. People sometimes read so much into your Status on Facebook.. or don't read enough..
Then there is all the false information that is passed to those gullible enough to believe it.
Then comes the gossip and once again DRAMA!
In a conversation with a friend of mine earlier this week and we talked about how because the popularity of social networks it seems there are so many more arguments. People stalking someones page, causing arguments between friends.
I knew a couple who were dating, then broke up and decided to sling insults over a mutual friends status. Not only was I shocked, but I thought it was upsetting, not to mention how uncomfortable the third party must have felt.
Yes Facebook allows us to know more about people, but taking private issues on to someone else’s status is definitely an no no.
Very recently I unfriended a whole group of people, several were hurt and asked to return as my friend.
Then there were the ones who did not/have not noticed. I am sure they are the ones that have me on "HIDE".
I was told by one friend there was to much drama going on in my life and I was too negative for them. SO I WAS UNFRIENDED,
I now have decided, there are only a few people I will allow in my circle of Facebook friends.
The people who say, I have drama and can't handle it.. oh well maybe you were not a real friend anyway.
Here’s another example of "bad facebooking".
I asked Jasmine if she would go to lunch with me and another friend.WELL, she makes an excuse “I uhh I umm I have bible study”. . I respond “that’s OK we will go anyway.” Only days later to see Abbey has tagged her on her Cafe'Rio at lunch pictures, which was the same day I asked her to go we me..
This leading to drama between friends. I could go on and on but quite frankly I think you get the picture.
So maybe by the end of this month I will deactivate my Facebook account for a while..
Maybe someday this will all blow over.

Rather like a continuation of high school, I think. I post very little personal info anymore, sometimes I wish I did more. Then I remember the drama.

After a huge fight with my BIL that got my cousin, and a whole bunch of people who didn't even know each other involved, I found I had to unfriend them, deal with the consequences and then be careful who I keep as friends on FB.
I know that there is def a bad side to it, but on the good side - I keep great tabs on my YW and can stay in touch with all my fam much better!

When does it ever end? I guess I should be glad that I don't use facebook for personal use.

Well, the only drama I start, end, include myself in, or fret about is facetious drama. I learned my lesson a LONG time ago. Now I egg it on for fun to laugh at the people who actually do it for reals. If that sounds mean, it's not. I just eat some popcorn and say so. etc... It's entertaining on a boring day. But if I feel there is something actually hurtful going on, that's different.
Dude. It's. The. Internet. And even though I love to hang out here and play here all the time, it's seriously not that serious. Right?
Unless you're making friends. I have found some of the BEST friends in the world here. Friends who let me borrow their husbands for weird-middle-of-the-night-shenannigans and everything! WOWZERS!!! <3 <3 <3

I don't have a facebook account, I know I'm living in the dark ages. The husband of a friend of mine, found his high school sweetheart on FB, she left her husband, he left his wife and they're getting married in 2 weeks! The divorce from his wife should be final by then!
DRAMA for sure!

Well, since I know about the drama that you're talking about gramee, I will give another opinion. Far be it from me to be the wisest among us, but it is just an observation from from afar.
I think the drama started long before facebook/ internet/ whatever, and will last long after facebook/ internet/ whatever is gone. I think it is a *rut* that certain people have gotten themselves in. Or a *dance* may be a better word.
(I had a big old long thing typed here, but my comment was too long to publish, so I deleted it.) (It was redundant anyway.)
Anyway. My opinion is that everyone loves each other very much and the drama is only evil trying to keep everyone upset at each other so that good will not be done to or with each other today. Or tomorrow. Or the next day. Talking about all these feelings everyone has is just a mess because they are all just made up by our egos really to save pride by our inner child.
All we need is love. Just ask John Lennon. Wait, he's dead. Better ask Jesus. :)
K. Someone else can have the soap box now. And person A and person B. I'm done with them. I think they are just blow up dolls anyway. They really need some clothes. How embarrassing! GOSH! ~QJXIII

It can be "interesting" on facebook, that's for sure. Luckily, I haven't been caught up directly in any drama. I tend to "hide" people rather than unfriend them. And my list of hidden friends is probably longer than the list of ones I don't hide. You just have to chalk it up to people having to be the center of attention all the time--bad attention is better than none at all.
I saw a quote recently that I love--I'll try to paraphrase it because I can't remember it exactly. "One day scientists will discover the center of the universe. And many people will be surprised to find out it's not them."

FB is good and bad. The drama I could do without, and believe me, there has been plenty w/friends and family on my list.

I just had to post Beverly's quote as my FB status. Loved it.
Some people just don't know how to live if there's not drama. It is hard sometimes to know what someone is saying without being able to hear their tone, or know what exactly they're referring to. Like some people don't get that most of my comments on FB are meant to be sarcastic. We really need a sarcasm font. But drama is so exhausting.
