Mom and Dad on their 50th wedding anniversary almost 5 years ago

Gregory HouseM.D., is a misanthropic medical genius who heads a team of diagnosticians at the Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in New Jersey. Most episodes revolve around the diagnosis of a primary patient and start with a pre-credit sequence set outside the hospital, showing events leading up to the onset of the patient's symptoms. The typical episode follows the team in their attempts to diagnose and treat the patient's illness, attempts that often fail until the patient's condition is critical. House's department usually only treats patients that have already been to other doctors but have failed to receive an accurate diagnosis yet.

    FADE INTO
  MCKAY DEE HOSPITAL OGDEN UTAH,

MY Mother has been in the hospital a couple of times in the past maybe 2 1/2 months .. and had a more than couple of  different diagnoses.
ALMOST like  a episode of house.. no one really knowing what is wrong with her.
a lot of symptoms mimicking different illnesses.
HER  kidneys were not reacting like they wanted them to.. and they did many test to
figure out what was going on.  the last being a   KIDNEY BIOPSY . With the hope of figuring out
what the heck was going on. The test took several days to get the results.
WE have finally got a diagnosis, a reason for all the illness all the lung problems not really phenomena all the edema,
every thing that has been going on has added up to one thing something none of us have ever heard of before but the Kidney Biopsy has reviled
                                             GOODPASTURE SYNDROME (DISEASE)
JUST like a episode of HOUSE something out of the blue.. something no one ever dreamed of

Goodpasture’s syndrome is a rare disease that can affect the lungs and kidneys. Also called anti-glomerular basement antibody disease, it is an autoimmune disease—a condition in which the body’s own defense system reacts against some part of the body itself. When the immune system is working normally, it creates antibodies to fight off germs. In Goodpasture’s syndrome, the immune system makes antibodies that attack the lungs and kidneys. Why this happens is not fully understood. Researchers have identified a number of possible causes, among them the presence of an inherited component; exposure to certain chemicals, including hydrocarbon solvents and the weed killer Paraquat; and viral infections.

WE have no idea how or why, but we know they are treating her correctly, they began treatment
before the diagnosis so we felt good about that. She will remain in the hospital at least another week while they continue treatment. Then she will be released to a Rehab facility. We will see how long it will take for her to regain some kind of strength so see can return home to my Dad.

IT is scary added to her other Neurological Disease she already has. But because now we know what we are dealing with we can handle it.

               I THINK ....
